FMCSA's actual Safety Measurement System (SMS) percentile calculations involve carrier-size normalization and crash-indicator logic that this tool does not replicate.
Nothing in this tool predicts your actual CSA / SMS BASIC percentile or whether FMCSA will pursue an intervention. SMS percentiles depend on safety event group, peer comparison, and other factors held by FMCSA internally.
